Everyone that knows me knows that I buy a lot of my clothes at Lands End. While there are many reasons why I continue to shop there; these are the main ones: the good prices and coupons, the classic style, and the fantastic customer service. This Lands End’s trifecta keeps me coming back for more.
So, I want to dedicate this post to Lands End, for whom I have sincere respect and admiration. This is the story of how I came to be a Landsendophile (that sounds pretty terrible doesn’t it?). And no, they did not pay me to write this blog post, nor am I getting any sort of concession. I am simply a happy brand ambassador wanting to pass along information to make you, my readers, more informed shoppers.
I bought a few things from Lands End (it was so long ago, it might have been through the catalog) back in the late 90s or early 00s and although it was a good shopping experience, for one reason or another I didn’t revisit the retailer’s website or catalog until 2 years ago when I was searching Google for a trench coat for my wedding (I got married in November). I came upon a belted navy trench coat with white polka dots–good for cool weather and completely waterproof–and I was instantly smitten. I’ve made steady purchases of clothes, shoes, housewares, and accessories from Lands End for the past 2 years and I’ve been a very happy customer.
Lands End, along with its J.Crew-like progeny, Lands End Canvas often have classic, sophisticated, timeless clothes that you can easily dress up or down or pair with a few slightly more trendy pieces. And because their style is more “preppy,” there are usually some cute nautical themed pieces, which as you know makes me drool. Of course, Lands End has killer sales and coupons so you can be fashionable without breaking the bank.
I especially like how Lands End styles their catalog/look book outfits, which gives me a lot of ideas how to put together my own outfits, and everything looks so effortless and put-together. I also like how Lands End stands behind their products. If you ever have an issue with their clothes tearing, shrinking, or pilling, just give them a call. I had the lining of my Lands End fleece peacoat tear and they quickly shipped me a replacement. Dealing with them is never painful, and that’s why I remain a Lands End customer. It’s my goal to actually take pictures of me favorite Lands End finds and post them here but because I don’t have a dress form and am slightly camera shy, it might take a while.
Here are some more outfits/looks. I am loving the easy skirt look, it would work for almost any body shape and you can mix and match different tops for different occasions:
