I just noticed yesterday that the beautiful and versatile Lands End Canvas Women’s Heritage Pea Coat is on sale from $89.50 to $54.99 — half price! eek!
I’ve been watching this jacket since winter and being a fan of 1) Lands End and Lands End Canvas, 2) double breasted jackets, 3) the color “persimmon”, 4) that this jacket is made of cotton and machine washable, and 4) that the design is structured and stiff and probably very flattering … it’s going to be very hard for me to resist!
This beautiful cotton canvas jacket even comes in navy and khaki colors, and while I would love to own all 3 colors, that would just be craziness. I was definitely drawn to the persimmon– an orange and red hybrid. And of course, who can deny the subversive nautical style at play here? No one of course, and you all know how much I love nautical stylings. It’s a match made in heaven for Nout. (Yes, I just referred to myself in 3rd person).
This jacket is so cute and the lines/seams would definitely be flattering for any figure! I could see wearing it with jeans or navy blue chinos. I also have a navy and white polka dot skirt that I could pair with a white blouse and this awesome persimmon jacket! Or even over a blue or white dress (I have so many blue dresses).
The possiblities are endless when it comes to creating a cute and work-appropriate outfit with this jacket. I love that it’s preppy and grown up at the same time! And it’s a perfect jacket for spring and fall… but maybe not for out North Carolina, balmy, humid summers.
Oh fashion gods, please give me the strength to resist this jacket=)
