Before you get to wondering why I’m buying new shoes when it’s clearly against my New Year’s resolutions, I was able to snag Jessica Simpson Frenchi from Piperlime with credits I got for having an Old Navy credit card [they are all part of the same family of companies]. That is pretty awesome…free shoes!
These are my first Jessica Simpson shoes. I really like JS styles and colors but never had the opportunity to snag one. I wore my new shoes-ies out tonight to a friend’s house to cook and eat dinner and then to wally world to walk around and pick up a few essentials.
Style: As you know, I LOVE mary janes. The Frenchi caught my eyes because of her platform as well. I don’t usually go for suede shoes but I’m glad I did, the suede on Frenchi is super soft and supple, almost velvety. Love the style, it makes me super tall:) 5/5
Fit: I thought I’d need a 9.5 since Jessica Simpson shoes tend to run small on me but I asked Shoe Doctor, PhD and she confirmed that the sizing is TTS to large, so I went ahead and ordered my normal size, 9. It fits perfectly even with my wide feet. Also, the Frenchi is pretty darn comfortable! I walked all over walmart and no pain or blisters, that’s a pretty big thing when it comes to high heels! 5/5.
Color: I really love the burgundy/wine color of these shoes, which is called “burnt red” but is much richer than appeared in the images on Piperlime’s site. 5/ 5.
Quality: Hard to tell at this point but I sprayed suede protector on my Frenchi mary janes to make them last. The suede seems to be in nice shape and I hope it stays that way. I’ll go ahead and rate it 5/5 even though it might need to be reevaluated with more wear.
Price: At under $45 (on sale at Piperlime and they did have a coupon for 20% off a couple of days ago), I find the price to be fantastic! 5/5.
Overall: 5/5. Even though I haven’t worn these mary jane platforms much, I’d like to wager that these shoes will be a big hit! I just love them! Plus service from Piperlime is always good, with super fast and free shipping!
What do you think of Frenchi or have you ever tried on or owned other Jessica Simpson shoes?
