March 27th was Sandpaper Kisses Blog’s 1st birthday and because I’m such a slacker, I missed it. My bad.
I’m back from vacation and promise to blog more. Please let me know if there’s a specific topic you want me to cover. Thanks:)
1st thing on the agenda: a super cute picture of my tuxedo cat Lafayette, posing next to a dead-ringer cat figurine that my lovely mother-in-law found. Because I’m a proud cat-mom, of course I have to show him off. Cute huh?
2nd thing on the agenda: I am obsessed with stars and I have found a new necklace to obsess about (this time it’s not a Melinda Maria star moon necklace, of which I have both the larger one and the smaller one).
Made of sterling silver dipped in gold (vermeil is the correct term, right?) with cubic zirconium stones, this stunning handmade necklace is shipped from Istanbul Turkey. I found it on etsy… and I’ve been watching it for a while. It’s only $49!!!
I can’t really express how much I love this necklace. What do you think?
Heya readers, so sorry for the lack of posting lately. I’ve been super busy at work and preparing for going on vacation. I’ll be leaving for Miami tonight so no posts (again) for the next few weeks.
My Monday shoe find this week is the super cool and super nautical Jessica Simpson Cocoa ankle strap wedge sandal. I am hankering for a pair of summery wedges and these babies are totally up my alley. I love the peep toe and the ankle trap to keep the heels firmly attached to your feet.
I am especially fond of the orange and white stripes paired with the dark navy soles. Cocoa also comes in other colors but I think these are my favorites. Right now these wedges are right under $100 but I will be watching these sandals for them to go on sale.
I’ve only recently gotten into maxi dresses and I think the Jessica Simpson Cocoa would look great with a summery maxi dress. I am generally a big fan of Jessica Simpson shoes as their quality is good for the price.
Happy Monday [or maybe not]. Personally, I am not a huge fan of Mondays.
To cheer myself up, I’ve found a great wedge to show you, the Born Mina wedge. If you’ve ever worn Born shoes, you know how amazingly COMFORTABLE they are! I own several pairs of Born shoes and they are seriously some of the most comfortable heels/wedges/shoes I’ve ever worn!
Born Mina is a summery open toe, slingback, mary-jane style wedge with white and turquoise patent leather. You could wear her with a maxi dress, skinny jeans or colored jeans, capris, or a mid length skirt. So versatile for summer!
I just love her! But at $115, Mina is a little expensive for my taste. I can’t wait until she goes on sale!
What do you think of Mina? Do you think she’s worth the $115 price tag?
