I love the Milly line and even though I can’t afford it, I’ve lusted after several drool-worthy pieces. So of course I got excited when I heard Banana Republic was collaborating with Milly for a line of women’s and men’s clothes + accessories.
Here are some of my favorites. They are CUTE but they don’t blow me away, but the prices are at least slightly better than the Milly line.

Hello dear readers. I hope everyone had a great long weekend. I have a virus thing and have been feeling under the weather and less than attractive, so I thought I’d reblog an old post with a super cute LWD (little white dress) that I’ll be wearing this summer.
If you have any ideas on how to style this dress, please share 🙂
Today’s Day 5 of the Dressmeber Midsummer Madness (wear a different dress every day) and they have started… the hottest days of the year. Sweltering 105 degree heat with no rain in sight is not my favorite, especially since my air conditioning at home can barely keep the house below 86 degrees. yay.
The good news is that I work indoors (so thankful!) and I had a pretty dress to keep my mind off the weather.
For day 5 I chose a vintage-inspired and ultra-feminine Donna Morgan white sweetheart neckline eyelet dress that has a super unique purple/pink pattern on the bottom. I saw this dress on eBay and just had to have it – and it’s a good thing I got such a good deal on it. I paired the dress with a cool yellow necklace I got also on eBay for a steal.
My husband said something the other day and I thought it was funny enough to share… He said to me – “You never wear the same outfit twice!”
Not fair, that’s only 90% true =P. I’m lucky that my frugal shopping ways and thrifting (and job) have allowed me the ability to own a lot of clothes and shoes. I am thankful for not wanting for anything, that’s for sure.
What about you, dear readers? Do you find yourself wearing the same favorite pieces or do you tend to wear a different thing almost every day?

I just can’t get enough of the nautical trend this spring. I hesitate to call it a trend because I feel as though the style is classic and timeless.
I picked up this super tacky nautical charm necklace from ebay and couldn’t wait to pair it with my navy blue + white stripe sheath dress. It was my first time wearing this dress and I got so many compliments at work. 🙂 🙂

This is something I’ve never done before on this blog. But along with my passion for fashion, I am immensely passionate for music and I just had to share this amazing listen.
If you grew up in the late 80s through the mid 90s, you might remember a genre of music called “trip hop.” I was so obsessed with this genre, which melds hip hop melodies, dub, electronic, rock, etc. that I still listen to it today. Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, and Sneaker Pimps are among some of the most famous trip hop artists. I have been a fan of Tricky since the mid 90s and am SO PLEASED with his newest release “False Idols.” Almost 20 years after the heyday of trip hop, Tricky releases an album that is reminiscent of this genre.
NPR explains, “So, once you’ve made your first pass through False Idols (out May 28), go back to the beginning and listen to the album again on its own terms. You’ll be surprised how contemporary Tricky’s signature mix of menace and seduction sounds after his more than 20 years in (and out of) the spotlight.”
<<Click HERE to listen to the album courtesy of NPR, which will be out May 28th.
I hope you enjoy this album as much as I did! Please share your impressions!
