The second installment of my “how to style a vest” series is all about how to wear your vest with a long (maxi) dress. See the first installment here.

This post actually shows a lot of different styles, including:
Convertible dress + denim jacket
Convertible dress + vest
Maxi dress or skirt + denim jacket
Maxi dress or skirt + vest
Scarf worn around neck
Scarf worn on your head
etc.

Ack. There are so many options here. I really felt like wearing this gorgeous Von Vonni long convertible dress in teal. It’s the same dress that I wore to my best friend Sarah’s wedding in December, where I was the Matron of Honor.

This is the PERFECT way to dress down a convertible / multi-way dress for work. Add a jean jacket or a vest and it’s just perfect. Alternatively, wear a maxi dress or maxi skirt + tank.

  1. So fun! I love posts like this – it really shows off your creativity. That dress is just beautiful – the color looks so fab on you!

      1. Yes!! Can you give me some ideas about how to style a colorful blazer/jacket? I have a purple one in my closet that gets almost no love!

  2. Another great job of styling this combo. Love maxi dresses and I have many in my closet that arent getting any love lately (since I havent been showing dogs). I really need to start wearing dresses more often. I do have two demin jackets also that I can press into service. It never occurred to me to wear my vest with one of my maxi dresses. Cool idea. Thanks 🙂
