So for this week’s Thrift Style Thursday, I will be doing a Throw Back Thursday post. I am just not a huge fan of 90s fashion and what little I do like (Doc Martens, plaid, etc) I have already worn on the blog plenty of times.
So for fun, here are some pics of me wearing awesome 90s clothes in the 90s. I was a pretty big tomboy and wore a lot of athletic wear a. I guess I’ve always like Sporty Spice 🙂

peasant tee and jeans and loose shirt
plaid, jean shorts, long sleeved tee, adidas sneakers, and dad

I hope you enjoyed seeing my in my favorite 90s outfits. Now it’s your turn to spill the beans: what is your favorite 90s fashion (or any kind of) fad?
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the TST gals:
It’s no secret to anyone that I love stripes. Well, I wanted to share an outfit that I got at Clothes Mentor on Mother’s Day (I went shopping with my mom and my mother-in-law, we had a blast!). I really enjoy shopping at Clothes Mentor – there’s one in the next town over and one of the only reasons I drive over there (and Trader Joe’s too). They have great prices and very high quality clothes – you won’t spend hours rummaging through odds and ends as you would a typical thrift store.
Well, that’s it folks. I hope you had a good Tuesday and holiday weekend. I was on the Outer Banks (Avon, NC) all last week and it was quite a shock to go back to work today. I am definitely feeling sluggish.
You know when you have an article of clothing or a pair of shoes that you love but that’s buried deep in your closet. So deep that you kind of forget about it? Yeah, I have that problem a lot, because let’s face it, I have way too many things in my closet. But one piece in particular that comes to mind is this Talbots Tuileries swing jacket, which I pretty much got obsessed with as soon as it came out, and which I hunted down on sale. Happy with my purchase, somehow this jacket sat in my closet for several years after being worn maybe once. Why? Maybe it wasn’t the most versatile jacket, maybe I have too many jackets (YES), or maybe it was simply forgotten. The beloved yet forgotten jacket comes out of hiding to make an appearance in this OOTD.
Here’s are old pics with this jacket. Flashback to 2011:
Do you have any “forgotten” clothes in your closet?

Greetings friends! Another TST is upon us and this week’s theme is animal print. I have been a fan of animal prints, specifically leopard prints, for many years off and on and although I don’t have a whole bunch of choices, I did have this cool Phillip Lim for Target skirt. I also have a velour blazer and a scarf in leopard print that I love, but they’re more fall pieces. So is my leopard vest. I decided for this quickly-warming weather, a skirt was the best option and doubled up on the leopard print by adding the belt. Check it out:
Now tell me, what do you think of animal prints? Which are your favorites? What pieces are wardrobe musts?

Well, it’s no longer Thursday but better late than never! I couldn’t let this TST go by without participating because I love the nautical theme. I decided to really have fun with this theme and go for a little more costume-y. I even wore my outfit to work and got a few complements. It was a rainy, stormy day, so the outfit kind of made sense, especially with my polka dot rainboots.
Then my mom surprised me quite a bit when she said she wanted us to take a “selfie” – I had no idea she knew what that meant. 😉 How silly.
Here are some more nautical-ish outift I’ve worn before –
Dr. Martens + Liberty London 1460 boots || Navy + Yellow Strawberry Thief Leather || $130
d.RA Mona Dress (clearance from Piperlime) || Thrifted Nautical Shrug $3.59 || Thrifted Lands End Ballet Flats $5
And of course, don’t miss the rest of the TST crew:
