I’d like to share my best purchase this month–the only one that matters–A LEATHER JACKET.
I’ve been wanting one for years and I had just sold some more stuff on ebay and things were going on sale so I snatched this one up. It’s the Halogen Collarless Leather Jacket from Nordstrom. I’m so excited about this purchase that I didn’t bother to take pictures of the rest of my September purchases, because they don’t matter nearly as much.
September purchases:
1. Halogen Collarless Leather Jacket, on sale for $160 at Nordstrom (sold out)
2. Neiman Marcus stretchy jacket, thrifted $8
3. Alternative Apparel striped ombre tee, thrifted $1.50
4. Talbots summer shorts, thrifted $1.50
5. Talbots sleeveless button-down shirt, thrifted $3.59 {might give this to my mom}
5. Bobeau flow print top, thrifted $3.59Β {worn here}
6. Ralph Lauren straight leg jeans, thrifted $3.59
7. Lovely handmade enamel necklace, $50 from local art show
8. Chaps plaid button-down shirt, thrifted $3.59
Spent = $235.36
Minus $38 from selling clothes and $135 from selling on ebay
TOTAL = $62.36 … not too shabby
How did you do this month?

As always, I’m linking up with Franish.
Awesome!! You did great on the budget!!! And I would love a leather jacket!! Just need to find the right one π
I hope you find the right one! It took me years π
Good for you for waiting for the right jacket and snagging it on sale! It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see how you style it!!!
Thanks, Justine! Now if the weather would only cooperate. First 12 straight days of rain and now it’s absolutely gorgeous but in the upper 70s so too warm for a leather jacket.
I bought myself a proper leather jacket in September as well… of course also on sale. I consider it to be an investment that will last for years and never go out of style! π
I can’t wait to see how you style it. I am excited about the never going out of style part. My mom had her Gap leather jacket for a good 15-20 years before it got lost. It did start to look a wee bit out of style toward the end of its life, but it was still in good shape.
Nice! And you did such an amazing job on budgeting– props to you! You’re going to be addicted. I wear my leather almost every day!
Thanks, MO! Yeah, I’m pretty excited and I’m trying to figure out ways to wear it. Let me know if you have ideas π
