new orleans wedding

Last month, I had the honor of being invited to a lovely wedding in New Orleans. It was my very first time visiting the city and it was such an amazing experience (along with the gorgeous wedding) that I had to share it.

We stayed right outside the French Quarter in an artist’s house, close to great food, live music, plenty of bars, great shops, and more. What I really liked about staying in that area of New Orleans is that we spend the entire 4 days walking around, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. It’s a truly magical place.

Here are some pictures of my friend Libby and I at the wedding. I decided to go with my trusted HenkaaΒ Iris convertible dress and it was the PERFECT dress to wear to this wedding as the weather was quite warm for November but dipped into cooler digits later on in the day. Iris is a convertible dress with sleeves but can be worn many different ways, including ways that do not have sleeves for the warmer weather. Plus, as with all Henkaa dresses, it was super comfortable and flattering!

Well, that’s it for now. Hope you have a great Monday!
Outfit Details:
Dress: Henkaa Iris midi convertible dress in royal blue (given to me by the company in exchange for my honest review)
Shoes: Sofft Breeze, gift from mom
Headband: Zen Heads, local NOLA artisan
Necklace: Old, from Groopdealz

  1. YAYYYY I was hoping you would do a post on New Orleans! You looked unbelievably gorgeous at the wedding and so did Libby! The dress–seriously perfect and the headband was the perfect accompaniment. BEAUTIFUL!

    1. Thanks SO MUCH, Justine! I’ll have to tell Libby because she’ll get excited to hear that πŸ™‚ I have more non-fashion pictures of my trip and I’ve been meaning to post them too, even though they’re just phone pictures so they’re not necessarily great.

  2. Wow, the dress is stunning on you – fabulous colour!

My sister recently suggested that all of my sisters and I should have a girls weekend somewhere like New Orleans, as none of us have been there. Seems like a really interesting city! πŸ˜€
