beachy, breezy workwear

It’s June. The sun is shining. The weather is getting warmer by the minute. It’s almost summer. I don’t know about you but I’ve had the beach on my brain for a few weeks now.

Because I don’t have plans to go to the beach anytime soon (sadface), I’ve decided to bring the beach to me, specifically to the office, by wearing something breezy and beachy. How about a fun dress with ruffles and a floral print? And maybe a casual cardigan to make it a bit more office-appropriate (even though I work in a very casual office and nobody cares)?

  1. This dress is super duper adorable! These funky 70s prints are becoming wildly popular too, so it’s awesome that this thrifted style is cycling back into fashion. Not that I really care about being trendy, but it’s nice when a thrifted find or older piece all of a sudden becomes trendy again. People will assume you just bought it, but they won’t be able to find it, making your piece feel all the more special and unique. And you can tell yourself that you’re just super savvy and good at detecting trends before they become popular. You’re so ahead of the curve, Nout!

    1. Thanks so much, Liz! I’m not usually one for being on the cutting edge of trends but I think there are classic things that won’t ever go out of style. Plus it’s a win-win if it’s a thrifted garment 🙂 I’m glad 60/70s prints are making a comeback because I love anything colorful and fun/quirky. As always, thanks for stopping by. xo, Nout

  2. I love this dress, super cute and flattering! Plus, it’s so beachy, it makes me want to take a tropical vacation (even though it’s not necessarily very tropical haha)! I’ve been to the beach once so far and I already can’t wait to go back – I think we need more beach days all around!! 😉
