That’s a lot of alliteration but it was worth it. I’m such a huge fan of wrap dresses; they’re classy, perfect for work, and always so flattering. I had my eye on this lovely NWT BCBGMaxAzria dress at my favorite consignment shop and was able to snag it at 50% off and using my credits so it didn’t cost me anything. I’m excited to wear it for the spring. It also doesn’t hurt to get some compliments from your coworkers 🙂
Speaking of spring, it’s been termite hell week at our house as we battle yet another infestation 😦 Being a homeowner has its ups and downs and this week has been a down. Take care of your houses, folks, as termites can do a lot of damage! But on a happier note, my mom got into the clinical trial that she wanted to do for her cancer treatment and she starts her first infusion on March 30th. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.

I am a huge fan of the color pink. I can wear pink almost every day, given the chance. I will tell you a little secret though – light pinks do not work well with my complexion.
Like this blouse here, I was super obsessed with the style, so I overlooked the color. I have a soft spot for tops with tie necks! So here I’ve worn the lighter pink with a bright pink in the hopes of making it work, I hope it does 🙂
Do you have that one article of clothing that may not be the right color but that you can’t resist?

PS. I think my blog turned 6 years old this month (WHOA). THANK YOU to all of you friends, both local and virtual, who have commented, liked, and followed through the years. This is what blogging is all about 🙂
It may not really be a uniform, but I’ve been rocking the standard skirt plus blouse combo several times at my new job. It’s quick and easy and looks polished and put together. The only downside of wearing a skirt is the wind likes to take it for a little spin. And is it just me or are downtown areas extra windy?
Also I had wear my brand new pair of Dansko sandals…they are AMAZING y’all. So comfortable and stylish.

Well, life and work has been so hectic and stressful that I can barely keep up with my blog. Plus look at my eyes in this picture…I look TIRED. Y’all, I love my new job but damn…I am worn out.
Anyway, I am SO IN LOVE with this amazing Leota dress. The fabric is so stretchy but at the same time thick and luxurious. I am a huge fan of the LBD– especially one with a fit and flare shape!
What do you think of LBDs for work? Don’t forget to see what Justine is wearing for workwear wednesday!

Today was day 3 at my new job at Red Hat in downtown Raleigh! It’s such an amazing, crazy, wonderful place. I’m completely overwhelmed of course–it’s my first time working in a corporate environment for such a large organization. Also, it’s my first time with such a long commute (and I’ve taken the bus for 2 days already, so that might start playing into my WWW outfit posts).
I know it’s Workwear Wednesday, but I wore this outfit for my first day of work on Monday! I love this pineapple print and wanted to add a bit of quirk to my first outfit.
I hope you’re having a good week so far, friends!
