I love fun prints and florals are no exception, especially during the spring and summer. Whether a fun floral print on a skirt, pants, jacket, or top, floral prints are an easy way to add visual interest to an outfit. I like to pair one floral piece with a solid color or another smaller print (such as thin stripes).
Here I’m wearing a Talbots floral print pencil skirt with a frilly J. Crew tee for Workwear Wednesday!
You know when you have an article of clothing or a pair of shoes that you love but that’s buried deep in your closet. So deep that you kind of forget about it? Yeah, I have that problem a lot, because let’s face it, I have way too many things in my closet. But one piece in particular that comes to mind is this Talbots Tuileries swing jacket, which I pretty much got obsessed with as soon as it came out, and which I hunted down on sale. Happy with my purchase, somehow this jacket sat in my closet for several years after being worn maybe once. Why? Maybe it wasn’t the most versatile jacket, maybe I have too many jackets (YES), or maybe it was simply forgotten. The beloved yet forgotten jacket comes out of hiding to make an appearance in this OOTD.
Here’s are old pics with this jacket. Flashback to 2011:
Do you have any “forgotten” clothes in your closet?

Springtime means it’s time to break out the floral prints, sandals, and it’s time to take a break and smell the flowers:)
So exciting! Here are the new sandals I got at Goodwill, they’re perfect for spring! I love them but I’m glad that I only paid $3.39 for them because they’re already falling apart =/
And here are some pictures I snapped while visiting Duke Gardens a few weekends ago. The tulip garden was in full bloom and so beautiful!
Have a great monday everyone! I hope you’re enjoying spring 🙂

Today’s Day 5 of the Dressmeber Midsummer Madness (wear a different dress every day) and they have started… the hottest days of the year. Sweltering 105 degree heat with no rain in sight is not my favorite, especially since my air conditioning at home can barely keep the house below 86 degrees. yay.
The good news is that I work indoors (so thankful!) and I had a pretty dress to keep my mind off the weather.
For day 5 I chose a vintage-inspired and ultra-feminine Donna Morgan white sweetheart neckline eyelet dress that has a super unique purple/pink pattern on the bottom. I saw this dress on eBay and just had to have it – and it’s a good thing I got such a good deal on it. I paired the dress with a cool yellow necklace I got also on eBay for a steal.
With this Donna Morgan dress, I wore my new-ish Report Ray floral platforms, which are AWESOME, tts, and super comfortable. They kind of go with everything since the leather is a neutral beige color. I love the floral fabric on the heel, it’s very retro and girly.
I talked my wonderful mom into taking pictures of me outside in the heat and she was making me laugh the whole time! We are both serious goofballs.
