I LOVE STRIPES! and my first purchase from eshakti.
I bought this skirt on clearance but misread the size chart and ordered a L/12 which is TIGHT around the waist. I had to wear my tightest control shorts ever. Oh well. The skirt is super cute, was a good price, and arrived quickly (cause it was ready to ship and not customized). The quality seems good too but I’ve only worn the skirt once.
And also yay pepper plants + deck that badly needs staining, lol.
Hope you’re all having a great day!

I wore this outfit to the office yesterday and a coworker remarked that I looked like a schoolteacher.
I don’t mind looking like a schoolteacher but this blouse might not have been the best choice for a busty curvy gal like myself but it kept beckoning me to buy it at Goodwill. I’d seen it 5+ times and I finally gave in because I liked the print so much. I had it tucked in at first but then I untucked it when I realized you could see the bottom seam clear through the skirt.
My favorite part of my outfit was nowhere to be seen in outfit photos so I decided to take separate pictures of them. They are beautiful gold earrings that my Mom gave me from her most recent trip back to our homeland of Egypt. I love them and how light they are too!
What do you think of this thrifted find? Worth keeping this blouse or should I pass it along to someone less busty?

I spent the afternoon at Duke Gardens with my friend and coworker Rachel, owner of Rachel C. Ward Photography. She graciously photographed me in my thrifted outfit for the Thrift Your Heart Out OutFIT contest. I was going for a vintage 50s/60s look which I hope I accomplished!
Rachel is a wonderful photographer and captured the beauty of nature as well as moi. Kudos to Rachel and a big THANK YOU to her for allowing me to post her photos here.
If you’re in Central North Carolina and need a lifestyle or wedding photographer, don’t hesitate to contact Rachel!
I just LOVE this awesome red leather and fabric jacket I picked up at the local Goodwill thrift store a few weeks back. And black & red being one of my favorite color combinations, I just had to wear it with black.
I will admit that it’s not exactly my size (it’s a size small and we all know I’m no size small) but I just had to have it. Good thing it fits pretty well as long as I don’t try to zip it up.
