On Wednesday evening, hubby and I got all dressed up to go to this amazing art show in Raleigh called RAW. We had such a great time – there were all sorts of artists, jewelry makers, photographers, music, etc. I even got to meet one of my favorite photographers and he was impressed that I knew who he was.
The venue was this super cool placed called Lincoln Theater, which often holds music shows. They had a neat mural outside of Abe Lincoln riding a Lincoln car. I had fun meeting people and I even ended up with a necklace, a bracelet, and a framed cross-stitch for the hubby.
Hubby picked out this dress for me to wear and I decided to go with the pin-up style, since I just love a retro look.
HAPPY FRIDAY! hope everyone has a great weekend!
Dress: Seersucker bow wiggle dress + belt, jcpenney (I don’t think it’s available anymore, I can’t find it online), $35 Shoes: Melissa + Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Lady Dragon pump, YOOX [also worn HERE] Clutch: Old, can’t remember the brand Jewelry: red bead choker necklace, thrifted $2 + bracelet, thrifted $2
I am loving the new Iron Fist shoes, especially Sweets for my Sweet (I LOVE cupcakes) and Lounge Days (I love polka dots, bows, and ankle straps!). And at $39.95 each or under, they’re not a bad price either!
I reallly REALLY love this dress! but it’s definitely sartorial debauchery… $150 is a lot of money for a dress. But I shall wait patiently for it to go on sale…
it’s got the signature Trina Turk print. Beautiful, colorful, feminine. I saw it in person a few weeks ago and it really caught my eye. I also really love the sweetheart neckline. I could see wearing this dress with a white or sand colored blazer, cute heels, a clutch, and an awesome statement necklace.
What do you think of this dress? Would you get it or is the price tag just a tad too high?
Man, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks. My wonderful sister-in-law got married (photos to come), and the family and friends (me and hubby included) catered the event. Work has been very hectic and full of overtime as usual. My mom came to visit us. Plus this past weekend, we went to see our favorite DJ group (again) in Charlotte. What a wild night!
I’m tired. But not too tired for shoes.
Today’s find is the Shoemint Mia. I am absolutely obsessed with t-strap peeptoe heels. The beautiful Mia comes in 3 cool colors – citron, nude, and tomato (kind of an orangish reddish poppy color). I love the bright colors, that the Mia is suede (citron and tomato) or patent (nude). She’s so feminine and flirty and really sexy!
Shoemint shoes are around $80 each is which a little of my price range; however, Mia is genuine suede and super classic and gorgeous. Plus first time Shoemint customers can usually find a coupon online for 15 or 20% off.
I could not figure out how to embed the video of Mia in this post, but if you want to see the Mia in action, click here to view the product video.
I love Mia! My only issue is with the heel height. While I can wear a 4″ heel, I’d prefer not to. I prefer heels in the 3-3.5″ range for work so I can comfortably walk around the office if I need to.
