manic monday shoes: patent perfection!

I think I’d like to start doing the Manic Monday shoe blog posts again. Mondays suck but if there’s any way to make it a better day, it’s with SHOES.

Anyone that knows me know I am obsessed with patent leather (or faux leather) shoes. A good, comfortable pair of patent pumps or heels in a neutral color such as beige or black (or even red) is a must-have wardrobe essential that’s perfect for work or play. This entire post will be dedicated to patent heels.

Fall Heels… Spectator Style

If you know me, you know I love Spectator Heels. They go by so many different names: Spectator, Brogue, Wingtip, Oxford, Menswear-inspired, Perforated, and so on. Whatever their name is, this style of shoe is absolutely my favorite. Spectator pumps are usually oozing a classic, vintage vintage vibe. Pair with any of your more modern wardrobe pieces for a well put-together ensemble. As the weather transitions from spring to fall, I’m having to move away from the wedges and sandals in my closet and toward the dark colored pumps and heels.

What do you think about this selection of Spectator Pumps?

manic monday shoe find!

Today’s shoe find is courtesy of Shoedazzle shoe club. Peach is a beautiful and summery espadrille wedge sandal with a t-strap, canvas upper, and peep toe. She’s available in a coral color called salmon as well as navy.

I’d love to get Peach to wear with maxi dresses for the summer. I have several maxi dresses that are a tad long and I’ve been looking for a feminine yet comfortable wedge to wear with them.

At $39.95, Peach is a steal and a perfect summer sandal! If you’re not already a member, please click on the image below to join. Shoedazzle no longer has membership fees so no need to fret!

What do you think of this wedge? Is she a sweet peach or a dud?

pastels aren’t just for Easter eggs

I hope everyone had a great Easter! My hubby and I spent the weekend with my Mom in Richmond, Va and had a great time! So happy to have seen my mom.

Earlier this week, I wore a pastel outfit that I really liked and I hadn’t even noticed that I looked like a basket of Easter eggs.

Pretty Pastels

I really love the Shoedazzle Amour pump… SO SEXY… but not very comfortable. Even though I went up half a size, these narrow pumps still somewhat squish my toes.

So, even though it was worn post-Easter, I really liked this outfit. Pastels aren’t just for Easter eggs 🙂

What do you all think of pastel outfits or pieces? Yay or Nay?
