Honestly, I had no idea who designer Sophie Theallet was before I got the email from The Limited about their collaboration collection. The anticipation had me really excited. Well, I am really liking the Bow-Detail Dress — like REALLY! The signature bow dress comes in fuchsia/pink, orange, black, and white. It can be worn with or without the rhinestone belt and with or without the cardigan.
I’d wear the pink dress with the rhinestone belt and a pair of cute plain pumps. The dress is $108, which I normally wouldn’t spend just on 1 item but depending on the fit of this dress, it might be worth the price. Too bad the collection is only available online, otherwise I’d go try it in the store.

I really like these pieces from Dorothy Perkins. I haven’t actually ordered from the site yet but I look forward to it.
I’ve been wanting new wardrobe staples, especially fall and winter pieces. And especially since my weight loss means I don’t fit into my clothes any longer without looking silly (yay!). I ended up consigning many of my summer and fall pieces that were too large, and I’m ready to replenish my wardrobe with a few classic yet fashionable elements. Right now, I’m liking ponte knit, lace tops and dresses, collars, lipstick red, black, peplum tops, polka dots, pencil skirts, bows, and black & white color combination.
If you know me, you know I love Spectator Heels. They go by so many different names: Spectator, Brogue, Wingtip, Oxford, Menswear-inspired, Perforated, and so on. Whatever their name is, this style of shoe is absolutely my favorite. Spectator pumps are usually oozing a classic, vintage vintage vibe. Pair with any of your more modern wardrobe pieces for a well put-together ensemble. As the weather transitions from spring to fall, I’m having to move away from the wedges and sandals in my closet and toward the dark colored pumps and heels.

Today’s Day 5 of the Dressmeber Midsummer Madness (wear a different dress every day) and they have started… the hottest days of the year. Sweltering 105 degree heat with no rain in sight is not my favorite, especially since my air conditioning at home can barely keep the house below 86 degrees. yay.
The good news is that I work indoors (so thankful!) and I had a pretty dress to keep my mind off the weather.
For day 5 I chose a vintage-inspired and ultra-feminine Donna Morgan white sweetheart neckline eyelet dress that has a super unique purple/pink pattern on the bottom. I saw this dress on eBay and just had to have it – and it’s a good thing I got such a good deal on it. I paired the dress with a cool yellow necklace I got also on eBay for a steal.
With this Donna Morgan dress, I wore my new-ish Report Ray floral platforms, which are AWESOME, tts, and super comfortable. They kind of go with everything since the leather is a neutral beige color. I love the floral fabric on the heel, it’s very retro and girly.
I talked my wonderful mom into taking pictures of me outside in the heat and she was making me laugh the whole time! We are both serious goofballs.
