my go-to work uniform {workwear wednesday}

Humidity. Crazy kitten. Busy. Work. More work. More work.

If I had to describe my week using only a few words, this would be them. I’ve been wearing my go-to work uniform often this summer: dark skinnies, sandals, blouse, jacket. Chic, effortless, and easy! Also, I laughed when I noticed that our neighbor’s car was in the background of my photos. Oops 😉

put a cat on it {because it’s workwear wednesday}

Alright alright, you’re probably sick of my prints. I just can’t help it. I am such a lover of fun prints. And when my friend Jessica shared this peter pan collar cat print blouse that she found at Ross, I went out the next day and bought it.

Add a thrifted pencil skirt and summer jacket and voila – cute, corporate, and cheap (and perfect for Workwear Wednesday).

queen of hearts {workwear wednesday}

If you’ve ever read my blog, you know hot much of a sucker I am for a cute print. So it comes at no surprise that this heart print blouse is one of my favorites- and I got it at Clothes Mentor for a steal!

What you see behind me here is our little vegetable and herb garden. We’ve already started harvesting zucchini and cucumber. Oh so good, there’s nothing like fresh veggies from your garden. I do not have a green thumb though- all this is courtesy of my wonderful husband.

Oh, and I got a haircut!

workwear wednesday: fit and flare

I don’t have much to say other than I love this dress and I love the colors black and white together. As a curvy petite gal, I find that fit and flare dresses accentuate the smallest part of my waist and tend to be very flattering. What do you think of fit and flare dresses?

Add a sleek white blazer and you’ve got a fabulous corporate chic ensemble.

embroidered tunic {workwear wednesday}

My lovely mother got this tunic for herself when she was in Mexico last year. Little did she know that her one and only daughter would lust after it with such gumption that she would have to give it to her. Sorry, mom, but I.freakin.love.this.tunic!

The mom story continues with these awesome Beija Flor jeans, which my mom got me last weekend as part of our ongoing tradition of mom-buying-daughter-yearly-Beija-Flor-jeans. Thanks, mom!
